26 May Cauliflower Blueberry Avocado Chia Smoothie
It’s nearly June! With the warmer weather and longer days, smoothies are what I have been craving and thus the back to back recipes. If you suffer from the 3p adrenal crash, you need to try this recipe! It’s cauliflower based with swiss chard, avocado, chia and blueberries. I’ve added cacao and maca powder for an energy boost and topping it off with pine nuts or sunflower seeds is a great way to support the second phase of your menstrual cycle (luteal phase).
Here’s the recipe:
1 cup frozen steamed cauliflower florets
1 cup swiss chard
1 tsp chia
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
2 servings chocolate protein powder (if you have leaky gut add: 1 serving each of GI Renew + GI Repair)
1 1/4 cup unsweetened hemp milk
1 tbsp raw cocao powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp maca powder
I tbsp coconut oil
optional: 1 tbsp almond butter
Blend on high speed in Vitamix for 1-2 mins. Top with frozen berries, coconut shavings and pine nuts. Enjoy!
