3 Step Cleanse Program

This Program offers you an exciting and simple way to start improving your health and changing your life. You’ll need to refer to your customized Shopping List for approved lists of food to help you optimize the health gains with the Program. The General Food Avoidance List is a handy list of the top food items to avoid during this restoration process.

Getting healthier is important and so is feeling your best. I hope this will inspire you to do both.

Tip: Since we are in the colder months of the year here, I’d encourage you not to use only frozen fruit. I like to enjoy my Smoothies at room temperature, I promise it’s just as delicious as its cold counterpart. Try adding ginger and mint or a chai-like blend of spices (cinnamon, cardamon, ginger, even nutmeg & cloves) as well!

Things to Embrace: sleep and rest, time outdoors, yoga, meditation, deep breathing, sauna, dry skin brushing. Upon rising: full glass of room temperature water with lemon.

WEEK One: READY. SET. GO

Initial Clearing, Elimination Time

Follow the Shopping List as your guide and eliminate all grains, sweeteners, meat/poultry and milk products. Use the avoid list as summarized in the General Food Choices. Smoothie intake: 3 per day.

You may begin to feel some discomforts, particularly if you’re accustomed to caffeinated drinks and highly sugared or processed foods. This is normal and to be expected. Add some nuts and seeds, bone broth, or lemon/ginger water drink for support. Days 5-7 are the most challenging days of the program but by following the Digestive Restoration Plan, you’ll have the support you need to make it through.

Tip: The pure and unadulterated variety of fruits, vegetables, legumes and nuts/seeds can enhance your taste buds and help reset your brain’s addiction to sugar. Note: meat and poultry sourced bone broths are fine to include.

Remember to Stay Hydrated and keep moving forward.

WEEK Two: Over the Hump. Metabolic Detoxification.

Congratulations, you’ve made it through the most difficult period. Now starts the more vigorous part of the program in terms of detoxification.

Food intake for these 7 days is very simple. Beginning today, you will gradually add in rice and more fruits, veggies, legumes, nuts/seeds, Refer to your Shopping List for which foods in each category to eat. You will also reduce the number of Smoothies to 2 per day.

Tip: Many people notice that they are hungry initially, but that tends to dissipate. Recognize, however, if you are getting light-headed or excessively fatigued you may not be consuming enough calories. Remember there are no caloric restrictions and you can eat as much of the allowed food groups as you want. If you’re waking in the middle of the night because of low blood sugar consider ½ an avocado or 2 TBSP of a nut butter right before bed (as in 15 mins before).

WEEK Three: Reintroduction Begins, Take it Slow.

You’re now starting the process of reintroducing a wider range of foods. Please add back all recommended vegetables, fruits, needs/seeds plus grains and legumes, fish and poultry. Go easy and don’t overdo it. It is very important that you gently restart the more serious process of digestion that has had time to rest over the past few weeks. Keep track of any symptoms you may have when reintroducing foods. This is good information for you and may be useful in pinpointing hidden food allergies or intolerances. Smoothie intake: 2 per day.

Tip: Weight loss can often occur on the Program due to decreased caloric intake and removal of toxins. But this isn’t the main goal. By completing this Program, you can experience greater energy and improved sleep and digestion…all of this will help contribute to achieving your long-term goals.

Days 21 & Beyond: Add Back More. Maintenance

You made it! Today you should begin to SLOWLY add back other foods that you have been avoiding over the past 3 weeks.

To keep that re-energized feeling, continue to add an UltraSmoothie as your daily detoxification support and consider adding a foundation plan to keep you feeling better long term.

Tip: Now that you are at the finish line, I encourage you to continue to purchase organic produce and choose free-range and hormone-free dairy, meats, eggs whenever possible. Remember to choose one word ingredient foods: almonds, kale, squash, apple, etc… And drink plenty of unadulterated water throughout the day!
